First Week and 20 Weeks

Noah has finished his first week at the new daycare (LECE). Drop-off has been difficult, but the teacher promises he doesn't cry again after that. He is certainly happy when we go pick him up, which is always nice to see. These are pictures the teacher sent us his first day of school.

Wasn't that sweet? How many big daycares do you know that would take the time to send pictures of your little guy on his first day to reassure the nervous mama? I think we're going to like this place. Apparently, Noah is the only one who can turn his head sideways to drink out of the sink faucet. Um...we're so...proud?? :)

Today also marks 20 weeks for Baby #2. This poor little peanut is getting a little neglected in terms of blog appearances. Noah had his own weekly updates on his own blog. Poor #2. But everything else baby-wise is going well as far as we know. We have the anatomy ultrasound on Tuesday, so prayers for that and continued baby's health would be appreciated.

This has been a crazy week in our house. Well, outside of our house, really. Monday night, both of our vehicles were broken into and things stolen out of them. The cars weren't damaged, but our sense of safety and security was! However, we have great neighbors, which makes the story better. One neighbor found my wallet around the entrance to the subdivision (cash missing, but all the cards still in place!) and another neighbor found the face plate to Daniel's stereo, completely unscratched! We're thankful to those men, and to God for taking care of us!

Happy Birthday, Noah!!!

Our sweet boy turned 2 years old on Friday! We spent the morning visiting the new daycare/school he will start on Monday. His current daycare has been great, but this daycare is through the school system, a little more convenient for Daddy to help with pick-up, and is just a tad cheaper, so we like that!

After a short nap, Noah opened a present from Grandma and Grandpa Shoemaker before we headed to Cici's Pizza for Noah's favorite food with the grandparents (including our "next-door grandparents") and our great friends Mark, Emily and Cole.

I know these are all out of order (I'm pulling pictures from three different cameras here, and don't know how to easily re-arrange them...let me know if you have a tip or trick for me on that!)

Thanks for the box, Grandma and Grandpa!

I know Emily got some good pictures of Noah smiling in his seat, but those will have to be added later when I can get them from her.

Noah and Cole loved "di-bin'".

Noah loves his ice cream!

And of course, more opening presents.

Thanks, Aunt Deb and Uncle Dale! This puzzle is a hit!
Thank you, Uncle Dave and Aunt Mandie! This shirt will be adorable on our little man!

Happy birthday boy.
We are so blessed. This little guy just lights up our life. We thank God for letting us be his parents every day. And we thank God for all of you who love on him like you do. Thanks for doing life with us!

Suson Park and Lambert's!

Thursday held beautiful weather again, so the crew headed to Suson Park for some play time in the morning before hopping in the car and driving to Sikeston to enjoy dinner at Lambert's.

Thankfully, they didn't let Noah drive the whole way.
Watching for the "choo-choo" to come around.
Yummy, okra!
