Noah Feeding Lyla

This morning at breakfast, Noah asked if he could feed Lyla. He's never asked before and I'm not sure why he wanted to today, but I said, "Yes" (which he seemed surprised by, as he asked me two more times before getting excited about it). So he climbed up into "my" chair, and asked me to scoot Sissy closer so he could reach her. It may not have been our cleanest meal, but they were both so excited about the new experience and just smiled and laughed throughout the whole meal. It was adorable. Again, maybe only videos that we want to watch and to remember in the future, but you get to "enjoy" them, too. :)

We just love them! And are so thankful for the love they have for each other!

Fall

The weather has been beautiful this week so we've enjoyed lots of outside time. Our next door neighbors got a new driveway this week, so Noah has spent most of the day watching the dump trucks and cement mixers while playing with his own tractors in the dirt. He didn't sit still long enough for pictures (he kept running next door to "help") but I played with the camera a little bit to capture this cutie. If only I could get some smiles when the camera is out!

Vacation!

We took several days to go to Pennsylvania last weekend. We needed to meet Baby Lincoln, so it seemed like the perfect excuse to make a trip! :) (Of course, upon arriving home, I realized we didn't take a single picture cuddling with him! My camera did actually make the trip this time, though, so that's improvement...kinda...) We have been blessed with very good travelers and couldn't have asked our kiddos to be better on the long drive. We had one of our best trips yet, making it in about 13.5 hours each way. Noah had a little moment of car sickness (and by "little moment" I mean, "lost entire stomach contents as we pulled into the last gas station on the way there"), but other than that our drive was wonderful. The timing was perfect to enjoy fall foliage in the mountains.

Our weekend was packed with fun. (We drove through the night Wednesday and arrived just before lunch Thursday). We spent Thursday just enjoying time with Grandma and Grandpa Sampson and Mandie, Gracie, and Lincoln. Friday, we took a trip to the pumpkin patch with the grandparents and David, Mandie, Gracie, and Lincoln.

At this pumpkin patch, we were given a bucket of food that the kids fed to the animals. They were a little hesitant, but loved it after they did it a few times.

The kids were very busy running around and checking things out...we didn't get many pictures of them sitting!

We tried to capture them to get a picture, but it didn't work!

So cute! (I want to try to lighten this a little, but I'm no photoshop expert...)
Be still, my heart!

Lyla missed out on her morning nap because of our outing and was completely exhausted. Thankfully, she's not a fussy tired baby and was so good--just quiet!

I taught Mandie how to use the Moby wrap, and Lincoln loved being all snuggled up during our outing!

Friday night we went to watch the football game where Daniel and David went to high school. Lyla and Lincoln loved being snuggled in their Moby wraps while we watched the games. Noah and Gracie loved their popcorn. We enjoyed watching the halftime show until about three minutes before it was over and Noah loudly said, "So...where's the football players?!?" It was hilarious. After the band left, Gracie, on the other hand, said, "I want another song!" Cute kiddos.

Saturday we headed to the Farmer's Fair where the kids got to see (and pet) some alpacas.

...and ducks.
They also got to play on some inflatables.
Noah loved sliding down and quickly took up his turn.

Gracie was a little more hesitant and had to be coaxed down.

They both really liked jumping in the bounce house!

That night we got to watch the parade, where Noah snuggled up with Grandma. He loved all the candy he collected!

Sunday, we enjoyed more time with the family before heading home. Thanks for the wonderful weekend, Sampson family! We loved seeing you and can't wait for the next visit!
