Noah and I took a trip to Lebanon two weeks ago to celebrate cousin Braelynn's first birthday (Daniel had to work). I didn't get a lot of pictures, but a few sweet moments were captured.
| Noah loved playing outside with the other kids. |
| When he was done playing, he even picked a flower to bring in to me--a first (I'm sure he had a little prompting from Cousin Ryan, but still super sweet). |
| Braelynn enjoying her smash cake. |
| Partying is always hard work--Noah pulled the blanket over his head and was asleep within five minutes of getting in the car after Aunt Denise's surprise birthday party! |
| Don't worry--I pulled the blanket down. |
| Noah came to visit Mommy at work and loved playing with the "new" (to him) toys. When it was time to go home, he cried most of the way out the door! |
| Noah usually has a major meltdown when it comes to haircuts. The last haircut was done by Daniel and I ...during the haircut before that I finally made the lady stop because Noah was crying and screaming so hard. We finally decided to try a specialty kids' place. Noah loved playing with all the toys before the haircut. With some food in hand, the first few minutes of the haircut wasn't bad either, but he hit meltdown stage about 10 minutes in. As a result, he has one long chunk of hair just in front of his left ear...I have no idea how I'm going to fix that! |
| An after shot of the haircut. Not a great pic. Noah had a blowout during the haircut in addition to the screaming and used our last diaper. Therefore, quick trip to Target without pants on. This type of kid-friendly grocery cart was a first for me. Noah was a fan! |
| Mowing the grass like Daddy. Well, except Daddy wears clothes when he mows. Sorry for that visual. :) |
| Cole joined Noah in his helper stand for some play time in the water. Both boys were pretty disappointed when it was time for dinner and we made them get down. That stand was completely worth the money and effort! :) |
| We took a trip to the mall and discovered a small-ish fair/carnival to the side of the parking lot. Noah was enamored with all the lights and sounds! |
| And then got a little overwhelmed and tired. But Daddy liked the extra cuddles. |
| Our first time sharing an Auntie Anne's pretzel (cinnamon and sugar dipped in caramel--the best!) Noah was a very sticky mess when he finished! |
| First time playing in the play area at the mall. He didn't do too bad for the place being pretty packed and being one of the smallest ones there! |
| Do you like his method of climbing in the jeep? Ha! |
| Our final stop was for an ice cream treat (I know-I know- sugar overload!) |
| Good to the very last drop! |
| Got milk?? :) |
We are loving our happy boy! His lateral incisors cut through this week (sleep was rough for a few nights). His current favorites are
The Very Hungry Caterpillar, 10 Little Rubber Ducks, The Very Busy Spider, (sensing an Eric Carle theme here??), choo-choos, puppies, music (especially the
ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle, and Itsy Bitsy Spider), bananas, the cracker packages with the fake cheese product you dip in (you know the ones--they're your guilty pleasure too!), and bathtime (the boy cries every time we make him get out). He surprises us every day with new things he's learning and saying. Our favorite ones to hear are "thank you", "bless you", and "love you" (melt my heart every time!). Love him!
