First Bath

My new cord came to connect my camera to the computer! So now we get pictures of Noah's first bath. He's had two more baths since the first one and has still loved them! He's such a good baby.

Uncle Mark and Aunt Denise came to visit yesterday and today. We took Noah on his first restaurant outing.

Noah got his first bottle from Daddy yesterday. Noah needed a little external pacing, but Daniel did great without my help. :)

Noah loves his new play mat from Aunt Denise and Uncle Mark and Cousin Brooke and Cousin Megan!

A late post...

Pictures from our last day in Pennsylvania...

New family of 3!
Proud PA grandparents
Three generations of Sampsons
With grandma and "GG". :)
Showing some brotherly love. (Grandma used to make them hold hands when they were in trouble...a lesson they never forgot, apparently!)

First Week at Home

We're getting there!
Monday was a rough day for Noah and I, but each day has been getting easier as we've figured each other out and gotten into more of a routine.
On Tuesday, Noah got dressed up for a trip to Daddy's office. He spent two hours meeting Daniel's co-workers and then we had a lunch date to Chipotle. Noah then spent three hours napping (meeting people is exhausting!) which is a really long nap for him!
Today I made cookies...
...while Noah took a 45 minute nap in his crib!! (This is a HUGE deal for him...he usually doesn't last more than 10 minutes  sleeping flat on his back...)
Then I even got his birth announcements ordered while he took a second nap this afternoon. We've definitely had a great day!

Noah's excited about a visit from his Uncle Mark and Aunt Denise tomorrow!

Meet the Shoemakers

Noah took his first trip to Lebanon this weekend to meet the Shoemaker clan. Our weekend was busy, but we loved seeing everyone! Noah got lots of lovin', hugs, and presents. We can't wait to put some to good use!

We also got professional pictures taken (thanks, Ry and Danielle, for letting us tag along with you!) and you can see those on our previous post.

The rest of last week was full of organizing the house--Mom was an awesome help! Noah also lost his belly button cord on Thursday so we got to give him his first bath. He loved it! He didn't fuss until we took him out! We took pictures, but sadly, I forgot to put the memory card back in the camera after updating the blog the night before! We don't have a cable to transfer the pictures from the camera to the laptop because it was in the apartment when the fire happened. Daniel ordered me a new cord so I'll transfer the pictures when we get it.

A request

Please don't copy or save or print any of the pictures from the previous post. Nathan deserves to be paid for his job, so if you would like prints, please let me know and we will order them directly from him. Thanks!

Family Photos

We got our first family photos taken this weekend! A huge thanks to Nathan Warson for fitting us into his weekend, and to Ryan and Danielle for letting us tag along during their scheduled shoot.
More pictures from the fun weekend to follow, but we wanted to get these up now.

More images to oogle over

Noah is now able or at least willing to sleep a little longer at night now. Yesterday he slept for 4 hours before stirring. Tonight he did 6+ hours. Mommy enjoys getting some rest as well. Before bedtime, we were able to get different poses from him.

He did this on his own, we did not manipulate his arms. He is in the pack n play.

Tummy Time! He actually seems to enjoy this a bit. His head control is amazing already, he is going to be a crawler in no time.

Mommy's touch is all he needs to get comfortable. Must be hard to be him.

I got some boy time with my son after mowing the lawn, I feel as worn out as he does. Glad we were able to cuddle for a little while. Give mommy and grandma a break.

Noah's 3rd grandma came to visit, she still has the touch, she got him asleep after he was getting restless.

Merry Christmas!

It's like Christmas in July at the Sampson household! We've been waiting for this week to happen for a very long time, and words can't describe the emotions we've had the past couple of days. Leaving Pennsylvania was hard, since we left behind so many great family members and friends, but we were so excited to be in our new home together as a family. Maybe I cried as I saw the arch. :)

Noah did great on the trip. It normally takes Daniel and I about 13 hours--we stopped for feedings and a rest in the hotel--and made it in 16 hours (not counting the hotel stay). We didn't think that was too bad at all!

We've been busy today--our first full day at home. My mom and I (and Noah) went on a massive grocery shopping trip to stock up our kitchen. Two hours later I think we're set for a couple of days. :) Noah was a great shopping companion. He was so calm and awake the whole time and all the older ladies in the store kept stopping us to ooo and ahh over him.

Later, Daniel and I took Noah for his first St. Louis pediatrician appointment. He's gained 3 ounces in 2 days (they aim for 1/2 to 1 ounce a day) so that was awesome. This doctor thought his skin color looked great so he chose not to retest his bilirubin (for jaundice). We don't have to go back until his one month well baby check-up.

The rest of the day was spent organizing and cleaning the house, which will fill our time for the next few days!

Enjoy some new pictures!

Yes, Mommy, I would love to hold your hand as I fall asleep.
