Swimming

Noah started swimming lessons last week. He was very nervous at first ("That's a lotta water, Mama!") but Daniel was so encouraging and patient with Noah, and by the end of the session, Noah was asking when he could get in the water again.

Learning how to kick legs in the water. (Another kiddo got a face full of water and threw up from coughing so hard on the other side of the pool...so everyone had to cram to one side for a quick kicking lesson and then get out--cutting our first lesson short. Bummer!) 

Noah-isms

Me: (as Noah is playing in front of the fridge) Excuse me, Noah. I need to put the milk in the fridge.

Noah, as serious as can be: (as I start to walk away) Thank you saying 'excuse me', Mommy. That the nice way to do it.

Three Months!

Baby Girl turned 3 months last week. Slow down, Life! :)

She continues to be a not-so-great napper but will have the occasional day where she will snooze for a decent chunk of time. Night times haven't been as great lately either with two wake ups per night, but I'm hoping it's a short-lived thing! She's a smiley girl, adores her big brother (she can just watch him talk endlessly), and is beginning to chatter with adorable cooing sounds more consistently. Noah in turn adores his Sissy. When we get home in the evenings he makes sure to tell her hi, and once even said, "You have a good day, Sissy?" It's cute. Tonight when she started fussing he said, "You have to calm down, Sissy. Mommy's right here. You okay?" and then turned to tell me, "I so nice to check on Sissy." Yeah, Buddy, you are. :)

Likes: Cuddling next to her brother, being talked to by Daddy (he gets a smile every time!), watching ceiling fans, being held
Dislikes: car rides, napping in her bed

 

  

 

 

She mostly wanted to talk to Noah or Daniel during this shoot, so we didn't really capture our smiley girl...but Noah wasn't too smiley during his 3 month shoot either...see?

Life Lately
