Growth Spurt and other News

Our little guy has had a growth spurt. Not so much in weight. Apparently he has only gained 10 oz in the last 3 months...But anyway, in lots of other areas. We now have a walker! It happened while Daniel was in San Diego a couple of weeks ago. You might remember my conversation with the daycare worker about Noah taking a couple of steps? Well we are up to consistent steps! Noah has become more and more daring, letting go of the furniture and our hands to go longer distances. He's not 100% independent, but he LOVES doing it. Once you let him walk, he squirms in your arms when you pick him up. We've also had a communication/language spurt. Noah is trying to imitate almost every sound and word we make, which is adorable. He's also using "more" and "please" signs consistently (though his "more" sign isn't exactly right, we know what it means!). He's following directions (when he wants to!) and answering questions by pointing. He's so interactive and engaging. We love getting him to smile! He really loves dancing---anytime music comes on his little body starts bouncing. Daniel taught him to "raise the roof" so that makes us crack up every time, too.

The new daycare is going well. They tell us he is eating fruits and vegetables (which is going much better at home but not as well as they say it is) and that he's taking his naps on his cot without getting up. He's starting to be happier at drop-off, which makes me happy. He's picked up yet another nasty bug and had to stay home with us two days last week. The pediatrician is doing some stool cultures, but we're hoping and praying they all come back negative.

Enjoy our new pictures!

Sitting at his picnic table pushing cars back and forth "like a big boy".

Noah really likes to sit at the front door and wave at the cars that go by.

We catch him playing in his crib more often than we used to! But he usually settles down on his own when he's ready (though sometimes it is 45 minutes or longer! He sits happily in his bed, but we decided to take this play piano out anyway...)

"I stole Grandpa's chair!"

Begging for more breakfast from Grandpa.

Loving the new sandbox!

I just thought this was so cute...sitting against the wall eating some Cheerios.
Do you want some videos? Well, okay. Since you begged. :)

A clip from his birthday party. He did end up trying some ice cream. Eventually. Now he loves the stuff.
I took this video to send to Daniel while he was gone. Not the best, but it shows the beginning of the big development!
This video was to send to Daniel while he was gone. Just a cute little boy eating a snack.
Noah really likes to push his toys around. He used to get frustrated and start crying when they would hit a wall or furniture, so Daniel tried to make it fun by making a big "Boom!" sound when it would happen. Noah thought it was hilarious and now does it too! It cracks us up with that belly move!
Signing "more" and "please".
More "boom" noises.
