Days Two and Three!

Monday morning/Memorial Day, Noah woke up with an upset stomach. Thankfully he perked up after an hour or so, but it did make us cancel our plans for the Science Center and helped us enjoy a day at the house instead.
Playing Wac-a-mole. It has been a hit!
Playing Sneaky Snacky Squirrel. (Jackie--don't worry! I fixed Jo's hair before we went out in public!) :)

Can you spot all six of my kids? :)
We enjoyed our bike ride/walk with all the kids, and they were good motivators for Noah to try his bike a little more (he's had a hard time coordinating the steering and pedaling at the same time. By the end of our jaunt, he'd almost mastered pushing back on the pedals to brake and had only gone off the sidewalk twice!)

Later Monday afternoon, we joined our LifeLink group for a picnic/BBQ in the park. We were only 20 minutes late, which I didn't think was too bad when coordinating the needs of 5 kids! No pictures were captured there, but a lot of fun was had by all.

Tuesday started out really rainy and we thought we might be stuck inside all day, but the storm passed quickly and we got to enjoy plenty of outside time.

Daniel set up a tent in the backyard. After a bit of playing, Gabe grabbed a book and settled in for some quiet time...

It wasn't too long before he had a shadow! :)

Lyla desperately wanted to see what the boys were playing and kept moving (about every three seconds) from the side of the chair...

...to the front of the chair....

...and back again for about 10 minutes!

Another round of slip and slide and an ice cream run rounded out a pretty great day. (Not bad for keeping five kiddos entertained all day on my own! A HUGE thanks to my great friend Emily for bringing us lunches today!)

Tomorrow the big kids get to go to the zoo with their aunt and grandma and it's a school/work day for the Sampson family. More adventures to come later in the week!

Day One!

Our sweet friends, Caleb and Jackie, are missionaries who are moving to France. Caleb left for an exploratory trip early last week, and Jackie flew out today to join him in looking for a home and schools for their kids. While they are gone, their three kiddos are spending the week with us! We have a full house, but day one has been really fun!

(We told them we'd try to post pictures for them to see while they are abroad. Enjoy!)

Reading books. Noah "read" the whole book to Lyla. It was adorable.

Sidewalk chalk fun!

Slip and slide! Yay for an $8 piece of plastic from Home Depot and a bottle of baby shampoo!

Noah's End of Year Pictures

Noah's sweet teacher gave us pictures of him doing fun activities through the year. Enjoy the recap, like we have! :)
