As Promised!

He kept his promise. That Daniel is a stellar fella. Here are the videos!

Swimming!
Butt scooting and fake coughing
Butt scooting, clapping, dancing, and singing
We've discovered Noah "sings". When his toys play music, he makes a little "huh" sound along with them. Especially this toy...if you listen carefully over the music, you can hear his little voice. He does this fairly consistently. He's Mama's little singer!
First time playing with bubbles

Laughing

First time in the sprinkler pool--he kept leaning forward to try to get drinks.

Swimming!

Today was another day of "firsts". We put Noah in the swimming pool for the first time. Our sweet neighbors, whom we lovingly call Grandma and Grandpa, have generously offered their pool for our use anytime we want. It's been seriously hot, so we thought we'd give it a try. Noah loves his bath, so we thought he would love swimming, but we couldn't have guessed how much he would love it! We had a blast.

First we tested the waters just in Daddy's arms:

Then we added the float:

The pictures don't do it justice. He was smiling and kicking his legs like crazy. He was in water up to his shoulders, and didn't seem to mind one bit. It's a good thing, because we've been invited to his first pool party next weekend (if the weather cooperates), so it's nice to know we'll all have a good time! :)

Noah wiggled himself into another tough spot...
When Daniel points at Noah...
Noah points back. It's pretty cute.
We attempted another photo shoot of Noah and Cole:

Emily says her last batch turned out much better than mine...maybe these did too?

Stay tuned for videos! Daniel says he'll help me post them later tonight, and we have quite a bit! (Maybe you'll only think they're cute if you are parents or grandparents, but we're excited to post them anyway.)

Random

Well, two days of work under my belt! We did a trial run of daycare last week. Noah went for three days so he could get a start on adjusting to the routine. And, to be honest, so I could deal with the emotions of dropping him off the first time without having to be at work following it. I didn't think I would cry, but I did---just a little! The first day he was at daycare, I attempted "once a month cooking". I spent 5 hours making a LOT of food and stocking our freezer. This is just a little of what I made (there were two full crockpots going, plus a meatloaf in the oven when I took this picture, plus I did two batches of brownies and a double batch of chocolate chip cookie dough). This way, we could just thaw a meal and be ready to eat without having to spend a bunch of time in the kitchen each night when I could be spending time with my boys. So far, I'm loving it!

The job has been great. I think I will really enjoy it. If I can figure out how to still do everything at home like I want to! Noah has been doing okay at daycare. They put all the babies down for naps at the same time, which is scheduled earlier than he's used to, so he's definitely tired at night until bedtime, which makes him a little fussy and clingy, but I like the extra hugs. He's not drinking quite as much as I think he should, but no signs of dehydration or malnutrition, so I guess it's okay! :)

Sweet baby asleep in his big boy pajamas.
Emily and I went on a walk (more like a hike!) at Powder Valley. Apparently it was very relaxing.
It was so relaxing, that both boys snoozed, and Noah even stayed asleep while getting switched to his carseat.
We have new neighbors across the street.  There is an 11-year-old girl who rang the doorbell the other night, and told Daniel that this book was one of her favorites when she was little so she wanted to share it with Noah because she thought he would like it. Noah was certainly intrigued, so we snapped this quick picture to show her how much we appreciated her sweet gesture.

Sad Day

Proof that he isn't always happy (am I mean to post these?). Please, let these teeth come in SOON!

I'm on a roll!

Three posts in one day! Y'all should be impressed! I've even done four loads of laundry, made homemade rolls, packed Noah's bag for daycare tomorrow (tear!) and went to get yogurt with Emily and Cole. Feeling accomplished today. :)

Random pictures from the past week or so...

On Daddy's shoulders!
Early morning snooze.
He fell asleep approximately five minutes after this. He hasn't fallen asleep on a walk in a long time! We wore him out. :)
First duck sighting!

First slide with Daddy!
This greeted me after a 10 hour work day...AAA came and put on my spare...which was also flat. After getting towed, and Daniel coming to get me, I was reunited with my baby after our longest stretch of separation...13 1/2 hours. It wasn't such a fun day, but his look of excitement when I got out of the car was priceless.

Noah's moving around a lot more these days! We even caught him (via video monitor) sleeping on his stomach!

He has wiggled himself into some pretty tough spots....

But he doesn't usually seem to care!  If only he could figure out how to scoot forwards instead of just backwards, we'd be crawling!! (Guess we should start shutting that baby gate, huh?)

10 Months!

Man, our little guy is growing faster than I can keep up with! (Remember when I used to be so prompt about taking his monthly pictures and posting them that day??)

I see London, I see France...
Sweet boy!

Mom! Enough!
Talking

It's so hard...

...to get pictures of two babies smiling at the same time! We were hanging out with Emily's family--Noah's and Cole's outfits matched so well, we HAD to attempt a photo shoot! Noah just thought it was funny to grab at Cole's face and watch everyone's reaction as we all jumped to stop him. Better luck next time, boys!
